Antique Truck Show & Cowichan Valley Fire and Safety Fair

Saturday, August 21 & Sunday, August 22
10:00 am - 4:00 pm

See history in action at the BC Forest Discovery Centre's Antique Truck show in August.  Many rare trucks will be parading around the museum's 100-acre grounds during the antique truck show in August, giving visitors an opportunity to see the trucks operate.  Spend the day at the museum enjoying the truck parades (at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm both days) and riding Samson, the 1910 steam locomotive.  Have a picnic lunch from the concession, check out the indoor and outdoor exhibits, and take a walk on the forest and marsh trails.  A fun weekend for families and classic truck enthusiasts alike!

The museum is inviting owners of pre 1980s classic trucks to register for the show.  To register your truck, please call (250) 715-1113.

The Cowichan Valley Fire and Safety Fair is also taking place at the museum this weekend.  Fire trucks and equipment from 18 fire halls in the region will be on-site to educate the public on fire safety.  There will be 5 modern (pumper, bush, ladder, rescue and bush trucks as well as a command unit) and 8 antique fire trucks on display.  Look for fun childrens activities such as the fire safety house!

Admission to the truck show, Cowichan Valley Fire & Safety Fair, and museum includes unlimited steam train rides.  To receive the most savings on admission, please ask about our individual and family memberships.
